I took a break from writing a post yesterday, but I’m baaaaack. We’ll start today’s ramble with a definition from dictionary.com. Civil war definition, a war between political factions or regions within the same country. As I mentioned before, it looks like this is where we are headed as the divisiveness builds each day. We have the POTUS (Piece of Totally Useless S**t) today retweeting a video where a supporter declares “the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat,” and suggesting that top Democrats enforcing social distancing will “get to pick your poison: you either go before a firing squad, or you get the end of the rope.” And then we have posts all over Facebook and Twitter that look like this.

Yep if you’re a liberal wussy democrat you go into the store wearing a mask. What gets me, is some of these “we vs. them” posts are from so called Christians. One minute they’re raising hell about the libtard Dem’s and “the only good one is a dead one” and the next minute it’s all about ‘open up the churches, we have to get back to praise our Lord and pray with our neighbors.! How hypocritical. Whatever happened to “Love thy neighbor as thy self” that Sister Amelia taught me at Saturday morning Catechism? Then you have some bully yelling at Johnny Cash’s granddaughter for wearing a mask in a grocery store. This, from her mother, Rosanne Cash.

I just have to share this post that I received from a group today that I think is spot on and worth reading. I’m not sharing it to bash republicans, but to share some facts. I don’t see myself as a republican basher, but I am a tRump basher because I find him to be a despicable human being and cannot believe any respectable person in their right mind would support his antics. Hell, I’ve even voted for some republicans in the past. I also don’t see tRump as a republican, but as an independent whose only ideology is “me, me, me.”

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REPUBLICAN

Joe gets up at 8:00 AM to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some stupid bleeding heart liberal fought for minimum water quality standards.

He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some nanny state loving liberal fought to ensure their safety and work as advertised.

All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employer’s medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some commie liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

Joe takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo; His bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some socialist liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air.

He walks to the subway station for his government subsidized ride to work; It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees. You see, some snowflake liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

Joe begins his work day; He has a good job with excellent pay, medicals benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe’s employer pays these standards because Joe’s employer doesn’t want his employees to call the union.

If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he’ll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn’t think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It’s noon time, Joe needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe’s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect Joe’s money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the depression.

Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime.

Joe is home from work, he plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to dad’s; His car is among the safest in the world because some cry baby liberal fought for car safety standards.

He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans. The house didn’t have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification (those rural Republicans would still be sitting in the dark).

He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn’t have to. After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home.

He turns on a radio talk show, the host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good (the host doesn’t tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day). Joe agrees, “We don’t need those big government liberals ruining our lives; After all, I’m a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have.”

Those of you who know me know that I am pro law enforcement. What I saw happening by those rogue cops in Minneapolis, however, was a murder right in front of our eyes. The video that was released yesterday by a store surveillance camera does not show George Floyd resisting the officers in any way, shape, or form. And now, the city is being torn apart with rioting over a widespread area with vigilantes calling themselves ‘heavily armed rednecks’ standing guard outside businesses to protect them. You’ve probably seen the meme of Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the national anthem to protest the treatment of minorities alongside the picture of the cop kneeling on George Floyd’s neck with the caption “This…Is Why,” so I won’t post it here. I think Kaepernick is making a mistake right now, however, with his call for a revolution to meet violence with violence suggesting it’s due time to respond to the violence with violence, saying “We have the right to fight back!” Of course, the “your” in his message below is the police. As long as messages like this are sent out, Minneapolis will continue to burn, experience looting, looters will be shot by shop owners and more people are going to get hurt.

That’s probably enough ramblin’ for today. There is so much more I could write about, but I’ll save it for tomorrow. Don seems to be on a roll today, so I know that there will be material to gab about later. It is such a beautiful day to waste sitting inside writing this stuff, I think I shall go wash one of the cars before the cocktail bell rings. And remember what Sister Amelia beat into us with her wooden ruler, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” I know it’s difficult at times, but be kind. Ziggyman
