Yep, my little parody of a Donald tweet in my post on Saturday wasn’t too far off I see. It was reported today that “Mr. Tough Guy” spent some time in a bunker in the basement of the White House on Friday night when protestors were outside the gates screaming at Secret Service personnel and the scaredy cats inside the WH. The Associated Press reports that “the president and his family have been shaken by the size and venom of the crowds,” and that “Trump has told advisers he worries about his safety.” I told the missus on Saturday that we wouldn’t be seeing tRump in public this weekend because as much as he talks macho s**t, he’s just all talk. In my pre-retirement experiences in the schools, I saw many Donald Trump types. Kids who were experts at stirring the pot, bullying those smaller than themselves, talking tough, but then running to the teacher on recess duty and hiding behind them for protection. I keep harping on his lack of leadership in these difficult times and this weekend was an illustration in full color. With the unrest and rioting for three nights in a row happening throughout the country resulting in the loss of life in several cities and billions of dollars in property damage, you would think that the POTUS would be addressing the nation and trying to instill some calm. I love it when even his most conservative allies start piling on him. I particularly liked the comment from Ann Coulter, who wrote a book titled “In Trump We Trust,” “Is it possible Trump has resigned and they just haven’t gotten around to the press release?” “Where’s Waldo tRump?” Oh, here he is,

To look at this from another direction, however, it is probably a good thing that he stayed quiet. When he did have something to say over the weekend through Twitter, it was more inciteful than soothing and calming, such as “THOSE THUGS!,” “Vicious dogs,” “Ominous weapons.” He did come out of the bunker long enough this morning to berate governors during a conference call. Again acting like a tough guy he called the gov’s weak, and if they didn’t use force they would look like fools, calling himself the “Law and Order President.”

Did you ever think that in your lifetime active duty military personnel would be used against fellow Americans? I know I never thought I would see it. That’s what the “Commander-in-Chief” has done today, however, ordering 250 military personnel deployed to Washington, D.C. Sad, very sad.

Anyhoo, I have to end this now and get ready for Maine Cabin Masters on the DIY network. One of my favorite programs. Hang in there! Ziggyman
